Pune: NCP (SP) State President Jayant Patil takes ‘Darshan’ of Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati, performs ‘Aarti’
Pune: The Ganpati Festival is being celebrated across the State. The elephant-headed god’s idols have been installed in houses. Devotees are arriving in Pune from across the country and from abroad.
Hindustan’s first Ganpati mandal Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Trust’s Ganpati idol was installed at Varad Vighneshwar Wada in the presence of thousands of devotees on Saturday (September 7). Chants of ‘Ganpati Bappa Morya’, ‘Mangalmurti Morya’ were raised amidst beating of Dhol-Tasha, playing of traditional musical instruments Sanai-Choughada and blowing of conches.
Bappa arrived in a traditional chariot. Famous Singer Padma Shri Kailash Kher performed the ‘Pranpratishtha’ (installation) puja.
Later, Kailash Kher sang some of his popular songs on demand of devotees, who gave him a big applause. Trust Celebration Chief and Trustee Punit Balan and Janhavi Dhariwal-Balan performed Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati’s ‘Puja’ and Aarti’. Later, Shikhandi, a transgenders’ team, performed ‘Gajar’ (a kind of chanting) for 10 minutes. The atmosphere at the Bhavan turned devotional.
On Sunday (September 8), Sameer Pathak (Global Chess League) & CEO, Mahindra & Mahindra, Ajaybua Ramdasi, famous Hindi Actress Isha Talwar (Mirzapur fame) performed ‘Aarti’ in the evening.
On Monday (September 9), following the Abhishek rituals, the morning Aarti was performed by Nirav Suratwala and Dilip Adkar (Good Morning Group, DGP). NCP (SP) State President Jayant Patil performed the noon ‘Aarti’. Trustee and Celebration Chief Punit Balan felicitated Patil.
Dr Jalindar Supekar (Special IGP, Prison Department), Sambhaji Kadam (DCP, Zone 3) and family, Swapnil Kusale (Olympic Bronze medal winner) and other Olympians were present at the night ‘Aarti’.
