Pune: NCP to Hold ‘Vijayi Sankalp Sabha’ in Ward 9 on Sunday in Presence of Ajit Pawar
Pune: With the Pune Municipal Corporation elections approaching, political activity in the city has intensified. Seat-sharing negotiations, internal dissent, meetings, and alliance talks have made the civic polls a major topic of discussion. Amid this backdrop, candidates have stepped up their campaign preparations across wards.
To campaign for the official candidates of Ward No. 9, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) will organise a ‘Vijayi Sankalp Sabha’ in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Sunday (4th). The public meeting will be held at Dhanakude Farm, near Jupiter Hospital, Baner, at 7:00 pm.
Ward No. 9 comprises key areas including Baner–Balewadi, Pashan–Sus, Mhalunge, Sutarwadi, and Someshwarwadi. The NCP has fielded Gayatri Medhe-Kokate, Baburao Chandere, Parvati Nimhan, and Amol Balwadkar as its official candidates from the ward.
Earlier this week, the NCP also organised a grand workers’ convention in Ward No. 9, which received an enthusiastic response. Party workers, office-bearers, and citizens from Baner, Balewadi, Pashan, Sutarwadi, Someshwarwadi, Sus, and Mhalunge attended the event in large numbers.
During the convention, NCP leaders and candidates collectively resolved to contest the upcoming municipal elections with greater strength, focusing firmly on development issues under the leadership of the ward’s official candidates.
