Pune: Newly Inaugurated Baner Police Station Solves Nagaland Women Assault and Robbery Case of Baner Hill, Arrest Three

Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister of the state Devendra Fadnavis recently inaugurated 7 new police stations in Pune city. After that, the work of these police stations started. In a significant achievement, the Baner police station has successfully solved the case within seven days of its establishment.
Baner police have arrested a gang that assaulted and robbed three women from Nagaland who came for a walk on Baner Hill. In this case, police have arrested three accused, including two minors.
The arrested accused has been identified as Drapet alias Vishal Prabhakar Samukhrao (age 19, a resident of Boradewadi, Jadhavwadi, Chikhali, and an original resident of Mhalungi, Taluka Chakur, District Latur).
On October 13, three women from Nagaland went for a walk on a hill in Baner. As they were coming back from the hill, the four accused stopped them. The accused assaulted them and stole goods worth Rs 51 thousand, like mobile phones, earbuds, and sacks, from them.
While investigating this crime, the police detained Vishal Samukhrao along with his two minor accomplices after getting the information about them through the informant. After that, the police seized the stolen goods worth Rs 1 lakh 10 thousand from them, along with the motorcycle and machete used in the crime.
This action was taken by the team of Senior Police Inspector of Baner Police Station Mahesh Bolkotgi, Senior Police Inspector of Chaturshringi Police Station Vijayanand Patil, Police Sub-Inspector Pranil Chowgule, Police Constable Shrikant Waghwale, Babulal Tandale, Sudhakar Mane, Irfan Momin, Babasaheb Dangde, and Shridhar Shirke under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Police Ranjan Kumar Sharma, Additional Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police Himmat Patil, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Anuja Deshmane.
