Pune: Notorious Goon Gajya Marne Granted Bail by Special MCOCA Court in Kothrud IT Engineer Assault Case
Pune : In the case involving the assault of an IT engineer in Pune’s Kothrud area, notorious criminal Gajya (Gajanan) Marne has been granted bail by the Special MCOCA Court.
The incident occurred during the Shivjayanti procession, when heavy traffic congestion had formed on the road. Gajanan Marne and his associates, who were returning home after watching a movie, got stuck in the jam. A verbal spat escalated, and Marne’s associates assaulted an IT engineer, who is said to be close to Union Minister Muralidhar Mohol.
Following Mohol’s intervention, Kothrud Police registered a case against Gajanan Marne and his associates, citing that the attack happened at Marne’s instigation. MCOCA charges were also added. Marne later surrendered at the police station and was subsequently sent to Yerawada Jail.
Adv. Vijay Singh Thombre informed that the Special MCOCA Court has now granted bail to Gajanan Marne.
