Pune: Olympic Medal Winner Swapnil Kusale felicitated by Amol Balwadkar Foundation (Videos)
Kothrud (Pune) : Former Corporator and BJP leader from Kothrud Amol Balwadkar, through the Amol Balwadkar Foundation, felicitated Olympic Bronze Medal Winner (50-m rifle shooting) Swapnil Kusale on the occasion of the Dahi-Handi celebrations organised by the Amol Balwadkar Foundation on Tuesday (August 27).
Kusale enjoyed the celebrations, along with Govindas. He appealed to youths to protect the Hindu culture and strengthen the Hindu Rashtra.
Baner-Balewadi residents felicitated Swapnil Kusale with a cheque for Rs 5 lakh and a citation. Organiser and former Corporator Amol Balwadkar said, “Today’s Dahi-Handi function is historic. We are happy that Swapnil symbolically broke Dahi-Handi in the Olympic Games 2024 after 72 years for Maharashtra. We, the residents of Balewadi, want to help Swapnil out of our affection for him.”
The joy of the celebrations was multiplied after the DJ performance of KRATEX A-Y0 as well as SFX and PYRO Effects. All those present shook a leg at the tune of Krishna songs.
Various Govinda teams won the hearts of all those present by forming human pyramids of multiple layers. Thousands of citizens came from Baner, Balewadi, Pashan, Sus, Mahalunge, the Kothrud Assembly constituency and rural areas of the district to witness the celebrations.
