Pune: One duped of Rs 57 lakh promising 5 pc profit in share market
Pune: Many people fall prey to various enticements to make quick money and get cheated. One such modus operandi is promising profits in the stock market and duping gullible people. Such frauds are increasing.
It has come to light that a resident of Sadashiv Peth was cheated of Rs 57.34 lakh by offering 5-per cent profit per month in stock market investment.
Umesh Yashwant Pasalkar (41), a resident Sadashiv Peth, lodged a complaint at the Vishrambaug Police Station. A case has been registered under sections 406, 420 of the IPC against Prathmesh Sanjay Bhilare (27), a resident of Dattawadi. The incident took place between January 21, 2019 and February 16, 2023.
