Pune: Person Assaulted with Iron Rod in Ganj Peth Over the Suspicion of Informing Police; Four People Booked

In the wake of the assembly elections, the police have launched a massive crackdown on illegal businesses in the city. Shockingly, the four people assaulted a 27-year-old man with a steel rod on suspicion of informing the police about their illegal business. In this incident, the young man’s leg was fractured.
Krushna Anand Kasabe (age 27, a resident of Ganj Peth) has lodged a complaint in this regard at Khadak Police Station. Accordingly, police registered a case against Irfan Ayubkhan Pathan (age 56, a resident of Ganj Peth), Rizwan Ayubkhan Pathan (age 58), and the first and second wives of Rizwan Pathan. This incident took place on Wednesday morning around 8 a.m.
As per the police information, on Wednesday morning, the plaintiff was standing in front of the public toilet in Ganj Peth. At that time, the Pathan brothers, Irfan and Rizwan, caught the plaintiff on the suspicion of informing the police about their illegal activities. In a fit of anger, they started assaulting the plaintiff. Further, Irfan Pathan hit the plaintiff’s right leg with a steel rod, due to which the plaintiff’s leg was fractured. The accused further threatened the plaintiff to take revenge next time.
After this, the plaintiff registered a case against four people at Khadak police station, and Police Sub-Inspector Borade is conducting further investigation into the case.
