Pune: Platform ticket sales to remain closed at 14 railway stations, including Pune
Pune: Many citizens have planned to welcome New Year by visiting various places while others will celebrate with friends and relatives.
Meanwhile, the Central Railway administration has imposed a temporary ban on platform ticket sales at some main railway stations to avoid rush.
The railway administration has clarified that the restrictions will be applied till the midnight of January 2, 2025 to manage crowds on the railway station premises. Passengers should plan their safe and smooth journey during the year-end period. They should follow the new rules. This appeal has been made by the railway administration.
Ticket sales will be closed temporarily at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Dadar, Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Thane, Kalyan, Panvel, Nagpur, Nashik, Bhuswal, Akola, Solapur, Kalburgi, Pune and Latur.
The elderly, senior citizens, patients, children, illiterate persons and women, who cannot travel alone, will be exempted from the restrictions to facilitate their easy travel.
