Pune: PMPML Bus Driver Booked in Case of Alleged Molestation of Woman (Video)
Pune : A shocking incident has taken place in Pune where a woman who had gone to lodge a complaint against the bus depot manager was allegedly molested by a bus driver by making obscene gestures. In this regard, a complaint has been registered against the concerned bus driver by the police.
The name of the bus driver against whom the complaint has been filed is Sunil Dhondibhau Bhalekar (age 44, a resident of Charholi Phata). In this case, a 33-year-old woman has given a complaint at Samarth Police Station.
This incident took place at the Shabri Hotel on February 22 at 4:30 p.m. in the evening.
Police informed that Sunil Bhalekar was earlier employed at the Pune bus station depot and knew the complainant. Earlier, he had followed the complainant while she was in the Pune bus station depot. Therefore, she had filed a complaint of molestation against Bhalekar in 2023. After that, he assaulted, abused, and threatened the complainant to withdraw this complaint.
Acting on it, the police had registered a non-cognisable offence against him at the Bundgarden police station. Finally, the police found him guilty in the departmental investigation, and as a result, he was transferred to Narveer Tanaji Wadi Bus Depot.
Meanwhile, the plaintiff had filed another complaint at the Bundgarden police station, this time regarding the harassment she was facing from Sanjay Rajaram Kusalkar, a depot manager at Pune station. In this regard, she went to the Bundgarden police station on February 22 along with two others. After the legal process, when she went to eat in Hotel Shabri, at that time, Sunil Bhalekar came to the hotel by chasing her.
When the plaintiff saw him, Bhalekar made obscene gestures looking at her and further threatened her, saying, “Kusalkar is our father. I will look at how he would file the complaint against me.”. Police Sub-Inspector Nikita Uikey is investigating further in this case.
