Pune Police and Military Intelligence Agency Unitedly Nabbed Fraudster for Faking Military Job
Pune: The military intelligence agency and Pune Police have apprehended one conman who cheated an individual by luring him to give a job in the Indian army. This action was taken after one individual filed a complaint against the accused at the Band Garden police station.
The detained accused has been identified as Shatrughna Tiwari (age 26). Police informed that Tiwari, a resident of Kalyan, Thane, was a soldier in the army. However, he did not complete his tenure and fled from the service. Since then, he has been absconding.
A few days ago, Tiwari published a post on social media saying that there was an opportunity to join the army. Reading the post, the complainant contacted the accused and showed his interest. However, Tiwari demanded three lakh rupees for this.
As the platiff was doubtful about the man, he lodged a complaint against the accused at Band Garden police station. Accordingly, the military intelligence agency was tracking the accused. Finally, when the accused had come to the Sassoon Hospital area, the team of military intelligence agency and police detained him. Police Sub-inspector Swapnil Lohar is conducting further investigation into the case.
