Pune: Police Arrested Former Employee of Command Hospital in 49.35 Lakh Rs Job Scam

In a conning incident, the former employee of Wanawadi’s Command Hospital cheated people by taking money on the pretext of a job in the hospital. For this, he took a staggering sum of Rs 49.35 lakh from various people.

In this regard, the Sahakar Nagar Police has arrested Vinayak Tukaram Kadale (age 53), a resident of Uttam Nagar, NDA Khadakwasla, currently Gangadham, Market Yard. Rajendra Kashinath Hagawane (age 53), a resident of Dhankawadi, lodged a complaint in this matter.

As per the police information, the plaintiff and the accused have been known to each other since 1986. The plaintiff knew that the accused was employed at the Command Hospital. In November 2021, the accused, Vinayak Kadale, called the plaintiff and informed him about vacancies for the posts of multitask service, clerk, computer operator, gardener, sweeper, peon, etc. in the hospital and asked him to find someone interested in the job.

At that time, the accused also demanded Rs 70,000 from each person for this job. Accordingly, the plaintiff decided to try the job for his daughter. Similarly, he also informed his relatives about the job and met the accused to enquire about it. At that time, the accused asked the plaintiff to collect the money of all the people and deposit it in his account.

Accordingly, the plaintiff deposited a total of 30.60 lakh rupees into the accused’s account from her wife’s bank. Similarly, other people also deposited Rs 18.75 lakh into the accused’s account.

Notably, after taking the money, the accused started avoiding phone calls from the plaintiff. Every time the accused was giving fake answers and was delaying the time. In December 2022, the plaintiff sent a duplicate hall ticket, bearing the hospital’s stamp and signature, to the plaintiff and other people. In that, it was said that the exam was on February 12, 2023.

However, after the investigation in the hospital, the plaintiff learnt that there was no such exam in the hospital on February 12. When he further investigated, he learnt that the accused took a VRS from the Command Hospital in 2019 only, and he was cheating them.

After that, the plaintiff lodged a complaint against the accused at Sahakar Nagar police station. The police have detained the accused, and Police Sub-Inspector Vishal Pawar is conducting further investigation in this case.
