Pune: Police Conducted Raids at Three Shops Selling Fake Harpic Cleaner; Three Shopkeepers Booked

It has been found that fake goods are being sold under the name of Harpic toilet cleaner, which became popular after actor Akshay Kumar became brand ambassador for this company. In the latest action, police have raided three shops in Chikhali for selling counterfeit products and seized a stock of fake Harpic toilet cleaner.
In this regard, Sajid Asgar Ali Ansari (age 34, a resident of Bhosari) has filed a complaint at Chikhali police station. Accordingly, the police have registered a case against Sudarshan Sanjay Powar (a resident of Ashta Vinayak Chowk, More Vasti, Chikhali), Gajendra Hariram Parmar (a resident of More Vasti, Chikhali), and Mahendra Kumar Karnaram Chaudhari (a resident of Shivaji Park, Phule Nagar, Chinchwad, Chikhali).
As per the police information, the plaintiff works as an investigating officer in a company called IP Investigation and Detective Service. After receiving information that fake goods were being sold at Sudarshan Pawar’s Sai Bazaar shop, the police raided the shop on Anganwadi Road. In that, police found fake goods worth Rs 6,382, including Harpic toilet cleaner, Colin glass cleaner, and Lysol floor cleaner in the shop.
After that, a raid was conducted at the M Mart shop opposite Mhetre Garden. In this, fake goods worth Rs 6,640 were seized from this shop. After that, Harpic Lysol Floor Cleaner worth Rs 13,470 was seized from the Dev Trading Company shop. Fake goods worth Rs 26,492 were seized from all these three shops.
