Pune: Police Constable and Sons Booked After Viral Video Shows Revolver Firing Incident (Video)

Pune: A viral video showing a police constable’s son firing a revolver has led to legal action against both the son and the constable, along with another family member. The incident, which came to light recently, prompted the Walchand Nagar police to register a case against the trio.

The individuals named in the complaint include Police Constable Ramesh Baburao Kekan, his sons Partha Ramesh Kekan and Atharva Ramesh Kekan, all residents of Wakad. Assistant Police Inspector Vikram Salunkhe filed the complaint at the Walchand Nagar Police Station.

According to the police, Constable Ramesh Kekan, who is stationed at the Pune Rural Police Headquarters, holds a legal arms license. The incident in question occurred three years ago when the Kekan family visited Kalas village in the Indapur Taluka. During the visit, Parth Kekan allegedly fired a revolver into the air. His brother Atharva captured the event on a mobile phone. Recently, Parth circulated the footage on social media, which quickly went viral.

Following the video’s spread online, the police initiated an investigation. It was discovered that Constable Kekan had handed his licensed revolver to his son Parth, who then fired it in the air. The police subsequently registered a case against Constable Ramesh Kekan and his two sons, Parth and Atharva, for their involvement in the incident.
