Pune Police Crackdown: Addl CP Manoj Patil Approves MCOCA Action Against 8 Accused of ‘Enjoy Group’

Pune : The Additional Commissioner of Police, Manoj Patil, has approved the proposal sent by the Lonikand Police to take action against the 8 accused of the ‘Enjoy Group’ under the MCOCA Act, who were trying to kill the accused of the Kunal Shankar Pol murder case that took place at Swargate in 2013.
In this regard, police have arrested Amit Mhasku Awachare alias Auchare (age 27, a resident of Fursungi, Hadapsar), Sumit Uttareshwar Jadhav (age 26, a resident of Ganj Peth), Latikesh Gautam Pol (age 22, a resident of Katraj Kondhwa Road), Shubham alias Mentor Anil Jagtap (age 27, a resident of Bhekrai Nagar, Hadapsar), Omkar alias Bhaiyya Ashok Jadhav (age 24, a resident of Bharti Vidyapeeth), Ajay alias Sagar Balkrishna Hegde (age 27, a resident of Bhekrai Nagar, Fursungi), Basarya alias Basavaraj Swamy (age 26, a resident of Bhekrai Nagar, Fursungi).
All the accused have been booked under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).
In this regard, the plaintiff complained that on August 29, he was on his way to Kolwadi while coming from Saswad to Pune. At that time, the accused attacked the plaintiff and tried to kill him over the earlier revenge.
Accordingly, Lonikand police arrested all the accused. During the investigation, police found that the accused are regularly committing such crimes using the same modus operandi.
After that, Assistant Police Inspector Ravindra Godse, Police Naik Prashant Kapure, Police Ammaldar Sagar Kadu, Shubham Satav, and Sudhir Shivle prepared a proposal in this regard under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Pandit Rejitwad of Lonikand Police Station and submitted it to Additional Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil through Deputy Commissioner of Police Himmat Jadhav.
Manoj Patil scrutinised the proposal and approved the action against the accused under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MOCCA). Assistant Commissioner of Police Pranjali Sonawane is investigating further in this case.
This action was taken by the team of Assistant Police Inspector Ravindra Godse, Police Naik Prashant Kapure, Police Ammaldar Sagar Kadu, Shubham Satav, and Sudhir Shivle under the guidance of Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Police Ranjan Kumar Sharma, Additional Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police Himmat Jadhav, and Senior Police Inspector Pandit Rejitwad.
