Pune Police Crime Branch Nabs Two More Fugitives in the Vanraj Andekar Murder Case
Pune: A few days ago, the former corporator of the Nationalist Congress Party, Vanraj Andekar, was mowed down by few assailants in Pune. In this regard, the Pune Crime Branch has now arrested the absconding criminals Sagar Pawar and Sahil Dalvi.
Pune police are actively investigating the Vanraj Andekar murder case and so far have detained 21 people, including three minors. In this, police arrested the main mastermind behind the murder, Somnath Gaikwad, Shubham Dahibhate, Vanraj Andekar’s sister, Sanjeevani Komkar, her husband Prakash, and Andekar’s brother-in-law Ganesh.
In the subsequent action, Pune police have seized 8 pistols, 13 cartridges, seven bikes, and 1 car from the accused. Earlier, Pune police arrested the machete and pistol supplier in this case, Sangam Waghmare. After that, the absconding accused Sagar Pawar and Sahil Dalvi were arrested late night by the Crime Branch Unit One and Anti-Extortion Squad.
This action was carried out by the team of Police Inspector Shabbir Syed, Pratap Mankar, Sub Inspector Avinash Lohote, and Rahul Makhare under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Crime Branch Shailesh Balkawade, Deputy Commissioner of Police Nikhil Pingle, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Ganesh Ingle.
