Pune Police File Charges on Sakal Hindu Samaj Protestors Over Fergusson Road Demonstration (Video)

Pune: The Pune police have taken action against protestors of Sakal Hindu Samaj who protested on Saturday late at night at Fergusson Road for their demand of action against Bangladeshi street vendors and hawkers who have multiple stalls of clothes on Fergusson Road.

In this regard, police Naik Anuradha Mulik lodged a complaint at the police station. Accordingly, police booked Ujwala Jitendra Gaud, Sharayu Parab, Hemant Datta Gaikwad, Munna Vitthal Gavali, and 15 to 20 other people.

On Ferguson College Road, in the lane between Wadeshwar Hotel and Rupali Hotel, a large number of clothing stalls have been set up by Bangladeshi nationals, and according to reports, there are always arguments and fights between them. Some people have accused these street vendors of also luring some Hindu girls.

As per the information, there were also a large number of protests against these street vendors earlier. On Saturday night, around 11 p.m., some protesters from Sakal Hindu Samaj gathered on FC Road and protested on the streets, demanding that action be taken against these Bangladeshi clothing stalls. This protest apparently created a huge traffic jam on FC Road.

In this regard, police took all the protestors into custody and later relieved them. In this regard, Police Sub-Inspector Shelke is conducting further investigation.
