Pune Police issue summons to Dr Puja Khedkar again
Pune: Controversial probationary IAS officer Dr Puja Khedkar lodged a complaint of mental harassment against Pune District Collector Dr Suhas Diwase in Washim. The Washim Police transferred the complaint to the Pune Police as the alleged offence took place in the city.
The Pune Police are investigating the matter. They recently issued a summons to Khedkar to remain present to record her statement. However, she did not turn up. Hence, another summons has been issued to her.
Khedkar was appointed as the trainee IAS officer at the Pune District Collectorate. She has alleged that Diwase harassed her during her stint at the collectorate. The Washim Police interrogated her. She told them that Diwase mentally harassed her at the Pune District Collectorate. Therefore, the Washim Police handed over the case to the Pune Police.
It has been alleged that Khedkar was demanding facilities such as a separate office, a car and a peon. She also installed the amber lamp on her personal car. Though such facilities are not provided for a probationary officer, she insisted on having them. She also grabbed the antechamber of the Additional District Collector. Later, a report was sent to the Additional Chief Secretary and Khedkar’s transfer was sought. She was shifted to Washim, where she lodged the complaint against District Collector Diwase.
