Pune: Police Marshal Detained Two Individuals from Shukrawar Peth for Selling Ganja

In a significant action, the SPT Marshals from Unit One of the Crime Branch have arrested two individuals who came to the city for selling ganja. In the subsequent action, police seized 820 grams of ganja worth Rs 7,550 from them.

The names of the arrested individuals are Samadhan Keda Pawar (age 33, a resident of Lohoner, Taluka Deola, District Nashik) and Sandeep Sakharam Khairnar (age 38, a resident of Upper Depot, Pawan Nagar, in front of the Jagtap Dairy).

Tight security was put in place in the city to prevent any untoward incident on the occasion of the New Year. While the Crime Branch Unit 1 team was patrolling, Khadak SPT Marshal’s Police Amaldar Sujay Risbud received information from his informant that some people were coming to sell ganja in the Shukrawar Peth area.

On receiving this information, a team of officers and police Amaldar were sent to help the marshal. After that, the police arrested two people who were standing on the road in front of Sushil Lodge in the Shukrawar Peth area. In the subsequent action, police seized goods worth Rs 47,550, including 820 grams of ganja worth Rs 7,550, two mobile phones, and a two-wheeler from them.

This action has been taken by the team of Additional Police Commissioner Shailesh Balkawade, Deputy Commissioner of Police Nikhil Pingle, Assistant Police Commissioner Ganesh Ingle, Senior Police Inspector Shabbir Sayyed, Assistant Police Inspector P.A. Kalukhe, Police Amaldar Vitthal Salunke, Shubham Desai, Sujay Risbud, Rafiq Mulla, Mahesh Kunde, Shashi Gade, and Ajit Shinde.
