Pune: Police Uncover Prostitution Racket from Massage Parlour in Kharadi, Manager Booked

The crime branch has busted the prostitution racket going on under the guise of massage parlours in the city. In one of such incidents, the police have registered a case against the manager of the massage parlour in Kharadi for tempting young women into prostitution by alluring them with money.
The name of the manager who has been booked in this case is Lokesh Rajkumar Puri (age 23, a resident of Chaudhari Vasti, Kharadi). In this regard, Assistant Faujdar Chhaya Jadhav of the Immoral Human Trafficking Prevention Department of the crime branch has filed a complaint at the Kharadi (Chandan Nagar) police station.
According to the police information, the Crime Branch’s Immoral Human Trafficking Prevention Department received a tip-off suggesting that a prostitution racket was going on in a massage parlour in a building in the Rajaram Patil Nagar area of Kharadi. After that, a police team raided the place and took a few girls into custody from the massage parlour.
During the investigation, it was revealed that accused Lokesh Puri cajoled the girls into prostitution by luring them with money. Senior Police Inspector Sanjay Chavan is investigating further in this case.
Earlier, citizens had complained to the police commissioner about the illegal practices going on in the city under the name of a massage parlour. At that time, Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar had ordered action against such massage parlours. It is learnt that the recent action has also been taken as part of the same order.
