Pune: Prime Minister’s life is in danger: Youth calls up police control room, detained
Pune / Pimpri: A young engineer was detained for calling up the Control Room and telling the police that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s life was in danger. He was being thoroughly interrogated.
PM Modi was supposed to visit Pune on Thursday (September 26). He was to inaugurate the extended underground Metro route and was supposed to dedicate and perform ground-breaking of 11 other projects. However, his visit was cancelled due to rains.
Meanwhile, the youth called up the Control Room and asked them to ‘save Prime Minister Narendra Modi, …help him’. The State Police were in a tizzy after receiving the call.
Technical analysis revealed that the young engineer was located within the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate limits in the Thergaon area. He was detained when he was waiting at a bus stop. He hails from Udgir and was visiting his friend in Thergaon.
He was being interrogated. The Anti-Terrorist Squad also launched a parallel investigation.
Influenced by Hollywood film ‘AI’
According to the police, the 25-year-old engineer often watches Hollywood films and AI-based clips on social media. PM Modi was recently on a tour of western countries, where he commented on social media and ‘AI’. Therefore, he perceived a threat to the PM’s life and called up the police. However, the police continued to interrogate him.
