Pune: Punit Balan is pursuing social cause, not politics, says Chandrashekhar Bawankule; visits Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Mandal (Videos)
Pune: BJP State President Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Tuesday (September 10) visited the Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Mandal. Addressing the media, he said, “I took ‘Darshan’ of Ganpati Bappa. I prayed to Ganesha for granting positive thoughts and for the wellbeing of the people of Maharashtra. I sought huge strength for farmers, farm workers, women-sisters and the youth in Maharashtra.
“I am thankful to Punit Balan and other Trustees. I prayed for the happiness of 14 crores of people in Maharashtra.” Celebration Chief and Trustee Punit Balan welcomed Bawankule and felicitated him.
When asked to comment on the criticism of Punit Balan by the Maha Vikas Aghadi, he said, “It is unfortunate that he is being criticised. Because Punit never pursued politics in the garb of social work and the Ganpati Festival.
“Punit organises Ganeshotsav in Pune to seek blessings for all of us across the State. Punit is pursuing a social cause and not politics. He is working for the pride of Pune. Punit should ignore criticism and continue to work.” Bawankule was accompanied by BJP City Unit President Dheeraj Ghate, other office-bearers and a large number of workers.
