Pune: Railway Advisory Committee members questioned IRCTC and railway officials over the sale of spoiled food items at the Pune Railway Station. They also inspected hotel kitchens at the Pune and Shivajinagar railway stations.

A vada-pav vendor on the Pune Railway Station was found selling spoiled food. A video of the incident was posted on social media by the Pune (Rural) Passengers’ Group. Passengers were at a health risk, since IRCTC and the railway administration failed to check food quality.

Regional Railway Advisory Committee member Anand Saptarshi, Bibhishan Jadhav, Dr Aditya Patakrao inspected stalls, along with railway officials, at Pune, Hadapsar, Chinchwad and Shivajinagar railway stations. They inspected the kitchen from inside.
