Pune: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh functionaries, BJP office-bearers and MLAs hold deliberations in Pune
Pune: The BJP has still not decided candidates for three Assembly segments in Pune. Some aspirants are not happy as they have not got candidatures while others are preparing to rebel against party candidates.
In this backdrop, BJP MLAs, office-bearers and RSS functionaries in the city held deliberations. It was explained how the RSS was strategising in these elections. Meanwhile, the BJP office-bearers said that it was a monthly coordination meeting.
The meeting was held at the RSS office in Moti Baug on Thursday (October 24). RSS City office-bearer Sachin Bhosale, Prabodhan Manch City Chief Mahesh Karpe, State Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil, MLAs Madhuri Misal, Bhimrao Tapkir, Sunil Kamble and Siddharth Shirole and Pradesh Mahamantri Rajesh Pande, BJP City Unit President Dheeraj Ghate and others were present.
The BJP has announced the first list of candidates for the State polls. The sitting MLAs from Kothrud, Parvati and Shivajinagar have been nominated again. Candidates from Kasba Peth, Cantonment and Khadakwasla have not been decided. Therefore, workers and aspirants from these seats are restless.
The RSS machinery is trying to increase the percentage of votes in the city, irrespective of who the candidates are. The Prabodhan Manch is working in that direction. It was explained, in the meeting, how the Manch is working in city areas.
