Avinash Uttam Kamble (age 35, a resident of Parvati) has filed a complaint at Parvati Police Station. Accordingly, the police have arrested the rickshaw driver, Somnath Das Chaudhari (age 40, a resident of Parvati). A case has been registered against his wife Rani Somnath Chaudhari and mother Sitabai Das Chaudhari (a resident of Janata Vasahat, Parvati). The incident took place near Shankar Mandir in Janata Colony at 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
Today, 7 police officers from Parvati police station, 43 police Ammaldar, beat marshals, and one unit of border security force along with one Bolero car were marching on foot in Janata Colony. With returning back from the route march, they noticed that a rickshaw driver en route to Lane No. 108 halted his rickshaw in the road. When beat marshal Khade and Surve requested him to remove his rikshaw from the route, the rikshaw driver allegedly abused the police officers.
When the police requested him, he further pulled up a crowd and also called his mother and wife. At that time, when the plaintiff tried to persuade him, the accused tore his shirt. The mother and the wife of the accused hurled the nearby stone towards him, causing serious injury to the plaintiff’s hand.
Further, the rickshaw driver started rolling on the road, which ultimately caused multiple injuries to his back. When women police officers tried to persuade his wife and mother, they bit their hands and scuffled with them. Finally, police detained all three accused and took them into custody.
