Pune: Rickshaw Driver Injured in Skirmish Over Passengers at Senapati Bapat Road
Pune: In an altercation that broke out between two rickshaw drivers over taking passengers at a rickshaw stand, one of the rickshaw drivers pushed the other driver on the road, in which the other rickshaw driver’s hand got fractured. This incident took place near the gate of Pavillion Mall on Senapati Bapat Road on Sunday around 9.30 p.m.
In this regard, the injured rickshaw driver, Deepak Hanumant Jadhav (age 44), a resident of PMC Colony, Gokhale Nagar, lodged a police complaint at Chaturshringi Police Station. Accordingly, police filed a case against Krishna Jadhav (age 42), a resident of Vaiduwadi.
As per the information given by the police, the plaintiff and the accused are rickshaw drivers. On Sunday, the plaintiff was standing at a rickshaw stand, waiting for the passengers. At that time, the accused rickshaw driver came to the plaintiff and started abusing him. When the plaintiff told him to take the passengers, the accused assaulted the plaintiff and pushed him on the road.
Due to this, the left wrist of the plaintiff got fractured. After the police complaint filed by the plaintiff, Police Naik Dahatonde is conducting further investigation into the case.
