Pune: Samarth Police Arrest Recidivist Accused From Yerawada Jail; Seize Two Bikes and Laptop From Him
Pune : The search operation of notorious criminals was going on in the city in the background of the assembly election. Amidst this, the Samarth police have apprehended a recidivist accused from Yerawada Jail based on the information received while searching for thieves. The police have seized two bikes and a laptop from him.
The arrested accused have been identified as Rakesh Jony Sakat (age 24, a resident of Shivaji Akhada, Mangalwar Peth, currently residing at Tadiwala Road in Pune).
The Samarth police have started a search operation of criminals in the city on the background of assembly elections in the state. At that time, the assistant faujdar Santosh Pagar got information from the informant that Rakesh Sakat had stolen the two-wheeler from the area. Accordingly, Samarth Police detained Rakesh Sakat from Yerawada Jail.
In the subsequent investigation, police found that he had stolen 2 bikes from the Samarth Police Station area. Accordingly, police seized two bikes from him. When Sakat’s house was searched, police found a stolen laptop with him. Upon subsequent interrogation, the accused confessed that he had stolen it from the Dattawadi area. After that, two cases of vehicle theft in Samarth police station and one case from Parvati police station have come to light.
This action was taken by the team of Police Sub-Inspector Jalindar Phadtare, Assistant Faujdar Santosh Pagar, Police Ammaldar Imran Sheikh, Rohidas Waghere, Ravindra Auchare, Shiva Kamble, Amol Gawade, Rahim Sheikh, Sharad Ghorpade, Borade, and Arjun Kudalkar under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police Sandeep Singh Gill, Assistant Commissioner of Police Nutan Pawar, and Senior Police Inspector Umesh Gite.
