Pune: Samarth Police Arrested One Individual for Alleged Sexual Assault of Woman
Pune: In a significant action, the Samarth Police have arrested a 32-year-old individual for sexually assaulting an acquainted woman by threatening her. The arrested individual has been identified as Santosh Maruti Jayabhay (age 32, a resident of Kolte Patil Tower, Marunji, Hinjewadi).
Samarth Police arrested the individual after a 30-year-old woman filed the complaint against the accused in this case at Samarth Police Station.
According to the police information, the complainant and the accused are acquainted with each other, and the accused forcibly had sexual relations with the complainant against her will and without her consent.
Further, the plaintiff complained that on August 13, the accused allegedly abused her and threatened to kill her as well as to take his own life. After the registration of a complaint by the plaintiff, the Samarth police immediately arrested Santosh Jayabhay. Assistant Police Inspector Patil is investigating further in the case.
