Pune: Satish Wagh murder case! Mohini Wagh had illicit relationship with tenant engineer

Pune: MLA Yogesh Tilekar’s maternal uncle Satish Wagh was kidnapped and killed on December 9. In a big breakthrough on Wednesday (December 25), the police revealed that the victim’s wife Mohini Wagh hired killers to eliminate her husband, who was a hurdle in her illicit affair with her neighbour. She was arrested.

32-year-old engineer and 48-year-old Mohini Wagh

Mohini Wagh was in love with her son’s friend. She planned her husband’s murder by hiring men. Initially, it was suspected that the murder could have been a result of financial transactions. Nobody doubted that the accused could have extra-marital relations with her son’s friend Akshay Jawalkar (32). However, Satish Wagh came to know about her relationship and quarrels started in their family. It went on for many years and finally, it ended with his murder.

Jawalkar was their former tenant

Accused Akshay Harish Jawalkar was a tenant of the late Satish Tatyaba Wagh. He developed illicit relations with Mohini Wagh. After Satish Wagh came to know about it, he started quarrelling with his wife, who planned his killing. The contract killing was fixed at Rs 5 lakh. She gave Rs 1.5 lakh to Jawalkar, who hired Pawan four months ago to kill Satish Wagh. Pawan and his accomplices Navnath and Vikas took the money from Jawalkar.

The murder case

Satish Wagh, BJP MLA Yogesh Tilekar’s maternal uncle, was kidnapped and killed on December 9 when he was on a morning walk. His body was dumped in Shindawane Ghat. The Crime Branch checked CCTV footage and arrested the accused. During the investigation, the police found that the victim’s wife hired the killers to eliminate her husband.
