Pune: Serial Burglar with 12 Warrants Against Him Nabbed by Unit 6 of Crime Branch

Following the announcement of the Election Model Code of Conduct in the city, senior police officials have intensified their operations, ordering a thorough search for wanted suspects. Acting on these orders, Unit 6 of the Crime Branch has arrested a notorious serial burglar implicated in at least 12 cases across the city.

The arrested individual has been identified as 50-year-old Papasingh Dayalsingh Dudhani, a resident of Perne in Birajdar Nagar, Hadapsar. A Unit 6 Crime Branch team was actively searching for high-profile suspects. At that time, Police Ammaldar Nitin Mundhe received a tip-off, suggesting that Dudhani, a known offender, was spotted near BT Kawade Road. Immediately, the police team reached the location and took Dudhani into custody.

During the interrogation, Dudhani confessed to multiple thefts and burglaries in Hadapsar. Further investigation into his criminal history revealed an extensive record of offences, including housebreakings and thefts, not only in Pune city but also in Pimpri Chinchwad and Sangli districts.

Adding to his criminal notoriety, police informed that Dudhani had previously been booked under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA). After the arrest, he was handed over to the Hadapsar Police for a further investigation into the case.

This action has been taken by the team of Police Inspector of Unit 6 Wahid Pathan, Assistant Police Inspector Madatan Kamble, Police Sub-Inspector Ramkrishna Dalvi, Police Ammaldar Ramesh Memane, Balasaheb Sakte, Suhas Tambekar, Nitin Mundhe, Kanifnath Karkhele, Rishikesh Takwane, Sachin Pawar, Rishikesh Vyavahare, Sameer Pilane, Ganesh Dongre, Shekhar Kate, Nitin Dhadge, Balasaheb Tanpure, Pratiksha Pansare, and Kirti Mandale under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police Shailesh Balkawade, Deputy Commissioner of Police Nikhil Pingle, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Rajendra Mulik.
