Pune: Shivering cold weather in Pune, mercury may dip further
Pune: Cold weather conditions prevailed for the past couple of days in the city. A minimum temperature of 12 degrees Celsius was recorded. It is likely to decrease further in the coming 3-4 days, said the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Cloudy weather experienced in the past one week has ended. Sky was clear in the past couple of days. Chilly wind blowing from the North brought down temperature considerably. The mercury dipped below 10 degrees Celsius in North Maharashtra while it was 12 degrees Celsius in Pune.
Minimum temperatures recorded at some other places in Pune district (in degrees Celsius) were as follows: Malin – 8.3, Talegaon – 9.1, and NDA 10.1. Cold weather prevailed in Pune on Monday (December 9) while temperature remained below normal in the afternoon too.
The IMD has predicted further decrease in the minimum temperature across the State from Monday. Northern states reeled under cold weather conditions.
Meanwhile, cold weather that prevailed before the onset of Cyclone Fengal returned to the State. Sky was clear and the sunlight was tolerable on Monday noon.
