The names of the arrested individuals are Aditya Shankar Dangde, Sandeep Dada Gawde, Shivaji Ramdas Jare, Suraj Digambar Jadhav and Indrabhan Sakharam Kolpe. All these accused are from Ahilyanagar district.

As per the information, Mayuri Sunil Dangde of Shrigonda taluka in Ahilyanagar district was to be married to Sagar Jaisingh Kadam of Mahi Jalgaon in Karjat taluka. However, as Mayuri did not want to marry Sagar Kadam, she, along with Sandeep Gawde, shockingly gave a contract of Rs 1.5 lakh to the accused to kill Sagar Kadam.

Accordingly, on February 27, around 7:30 p.m., when a cook by profession, Sagar Kadam, was going home, some people stopped him on the road near a hotel near Khamgaon Phata in Daund taluka and severely beat him with a wooden stick. In this assault, Sagar Kadam died on the spot.

After that, a complaint was registered against the accused in this regard at Yavat Police Station. In the police investigation, police detained the accused Aditya Shankar Dangde and interrogated him about the crime. At that time, he confessed to the crime. After that, the Yavat police arrested five accused in this case and seized a white-coloured Verna car used by the accused during the crime. Notably, the prime accused in this case, Mayuri Sunil Dangde, who gave the contract for Sagar’s murder, is currently at large.

A police investigation revealed that Mayuri Dangde did not want to marry Sagar Kadam. Therefore, she asked the accused to kill Sagar Kadam for Rs 1.5 lakh. Assistant Police Inspector Mahesh Mane is conducting further investigation into this case.
