Pune: Shocking Murder in Hadapsar! Two Held for Killing Man with Iron Rod Over False Crime Allegation
Pune: A perturbing incident of killing a young man by hitting an iron rod on his head has taken place in the Hadapsar area due to the anger of being implicated in a false crime case. In this regard, Hadapsar Police registered a case and arrested two people.
As per the information, this incident took place on Saturday night between 12 and 12:30 on the side of the railway track near Ramtekdi Bridge. The accused, Siddheshwar Dilip Chavan and Bhaiya alias Prasad Vijay Kamble, murdered Farhan Abdul Razzak Shaikh by hitting him with iron rods in his head.
The brother of the murdered individual, Fareed Abdul Razzak Shaikh, lodged a complaint in this regard at Hadapsar police station. Accordingly, Hadapsar police booked two accused under Section 103(1), 3(5) of the Indian Code of Justice and arrested them.
The police informed that the accused and the murdered individual were very good friends. However, the accused was upset over being implicated in a false case by Farhan Shaikh. Harbouring this animosity, the accused decided to take revenge on Farhan Shaikh.
Accordingly, he took Farhan Shaikh to the railway track near Ramtekdi Bridge on the pretext of drinking alcohol. However, after reaching there, the accused and his friends unleashed a heavy assault on Farhan Shaikh, hitting him with iron rods. Farhan Shaikh was greatly injured in this attack and was subsequently killed.
On getting information about the incident, Assistant Commissioner of Police Hadapsar Division Ashwini Rakh, Senior Police Inspector Santosh Pandhare, and Police Inspector Crime Umesh Gite rushed to the spot. Accordingly, the absconding accused were traced and arrested by the police. Further investigation is being conducted by Police Inspector Crime Umesh Gitte.
