Pune: Sinhagad Road Police Nab Gas Employee for Black-Marketing Gas Cylinders

In a significant action, the Sinhagad Road police caught an employee who was trying to sell commercial gas cylinder tanks of Bharat Gas and HP gas companies illegally. The police have seized goods worth Rs 10 lakh 28 thousand 400, including a tempo along with 72 gas tanks from him.
The apprehended employee has been identified as Somnath Lahu Bhojane (age 31, a resident of Vadgaon Budruk). According to the information provided by the police, while Police Sub-Inspector Santosh Bhandwalkar and his colleagues were present in the office, Police Ammaldar Deva Chavan received news through his informant that a person was illegally selling commercial gas cylinders on the road at Vadgaon Bhaji Mandai.
Corroborating the authenticity of the news, police rushed to the scene and found that a man was seen stockpiling and selling blue and yellow gas tanks on the side of a road going towards Goyal Ganga. When police interrogated Somnath Bhojane about it, he said that these filled tanks were given for sale by their owner, Vikas Dhondappa Aakale (a resident of Vadgaon Budruk). The tempo contained 72 commercial gas cylinders of HP Gas and Bharat Gas Company. In this regard, a case has been registered under the Essential Commodities Act at Sinhagad Road Police Station.
This action was taken by the team of Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Nikam, Police Sub-Inspector Santosh Bhandwalkar, Aba Uttekar, Police Ammaldar Sanjay Shinde, Anna Kekan, Uttam Taru, Pankaj Deshmukh, Deva Chavan, Amol Patil, Vikas Pandole, Shivaji Kshirsagar, Rahul Olekar, Swapnil Magar, Vinayak Mohite, and Vikas Bandal under the guidance of Additional Police Commissioner Pravin Kumar Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police Sambhaji Kadam, Assistant Police Commissioner Ajay Parmar, and Senior Police Inspector Dilip Daigande.
