Pune: Stringent action proposed against errant PMPML bus drivers, conductors
Pune: In the backdrop of suspension of an MSRTC driver for watching an IPL match while on duty, PMPML has issued strict instructions to its employees. They are prohibited to remain insensitive and negligent during working hours.
Strict instructions have been issued to the PMPML employees. Using mobile phones by drivers or conductors during travel, consuming tobacco, paan masala can lead to their suspension.
These instructions were issued earlier too. Violation of the rules will invite suspension of two months, stated a PMPML circular. The PMPML has 9,400 driver-employees, out of which 4,400 work on contractual basis.
A WhatsApp number has been issued to complain about drivers and conductors. Passengers can post photos/videos, along with the bus number, route number, place, date and time on WhatsApp number 9881495589 or email to complaints@pmpml.org. Complaints can also be lodged at a nearby PMPML depot with proof.
