Pune: Sunil Tatkare Puts Baramati Election Rumours to Rest: Speaks About Ajit Pawar’s Statement
Pune : After the Deputy Chief Minister, Ajit Pawar, made a stir by signalling his son, Jay Pawar’s, possible contention from Baramati, NCP state president Sunil Tatkare gave a comment on it today.
Yesterday, when asked about people’s demand for Jay Pawar’s candidature from Baramati, Ajit Pawar said that he had been elected from Baramati seven to eight times, and now he was not that interested in contesting from there. He said that if people and supporters demand Jay Pawar’s candidacy from Baramati, then the party’s parliamentary board would take a decision on it.
On this, Sunil Tatkare said, “Ajit Dada did not say that he would not contest the election. People are unnecessarily taking the wrong meaning of Ajit Dada’s statement. The NCP party will contest the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections under the guidance of Ajit Dada and will win more and more seats.” He also said that after talking with Ajit Pawar, he would let people know in what sense Ajit Pawar made that statement.
On the question of the opposition’s criticism, Tatkare said, “There is no need to pay attention to the opposition. The opposition leaders are constantly criticising us. But we will face the upcoming elections under the leadership of Ajit Dada, and we will get good success,” affirmed Tatkare.
Tatkare said that Ajit Dada himself did not say anything like that. When he was asked that question, he expressed his feelings. Tatkare also said that no one needs to request Ajit Dada; the people of Baramati have love and belief in him.
Tatkare further said that Ajit Dada will surely face the election, and he and our party will have a good success in the election. “Ajit Dada has a tremendous role in the development of Baramati, and therefore, Ajit Pawar will contest the election from Baramati,” said Tatkare.
