Pune: Supporters stage walkathon from Hadapsar to Eknath Shinde’s residence for Pramod Nana Bhangire
Pune: The BJP has declared its first list of 99 candidates for the State Assembly elections. Other parties of the two major alliances will declare them soon. However, Shiv Sena (BT) leader Nana Bhangire’s supporters from the Hadapsar segment have become aggressive over his candidature.
They started a walkathon from Hadapsar to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s residence in Mumbai to demand the candidature for Bhangire from Hadapsar.
Sitting NCP (AP) MLA Chetan Tupe will most likely be fielded from the Maha Yuti. Therefore, Bhangire’s party from the Maha Yuti may not get the seat. Bhangire is a close aide of Shinde and the City Unit President of Shiv Sena (BT). Therefore, the Maha Yuti leaders are unable to decide the candidate from the seat.
In this backdrop, Bhangire’s supporters performed a ‘Maha Aarti’ at the Prabhu Shri Ram Mandir and prayed for his success. Thousands of his supporters headed for Mumbai to voice their demand.
