Pune: Swift Action by Samarth Police: Lost Bag Recovered for Kerala Youth After Thorough CCTV Review
Pune: In a sigh of relief for a young man from Kerala, Samarth police swiftly recovered his bag, which he had lost in a rickshaw, after carefully examining CCTV footage.
As per the information, a 48-year-old individual, Riyaz Ahmad K.P., a resident of Kozhikode, Kerala, had arrived at Pune Railway station to meet his friend on Sunday around 10.30 a.m. After that, he took a rickshaw to meet his friend Umar Karim Farukh (age 24) until Rasta Peth. However, after some time of alighting from the rickshaw, he realised that he forgot one of his bags in the rickshaw. The bag contained clothes, valuables, and important documents.
After that, he immediately lodged a complaint of a bag missing at Samarth Police Station. After listening to his complaint, the Police Ammaldar Ghorpade and constable Imran Shaikh of the investigation team checked 6 to 7 CCTV footages of that area. In that, they found the number plate of the rickshaw from which Riyaz Ahmad travelled.
Accordingly, they contacted the concerned rickshaw driver, Arun Pawar (age 50, a resident of Manas Lake, City Grand Tower), and asked him to bring the back into the police station. The rickshaw driver also immediately brought back the bag at the Samarth police station and returned it to the plaintiff. The plaintiff thanked the Pune Police for getting all the items in the bag safely.
