Pune: Teenager Attacks and Abuses Mother in Dhankawadi After Phone Confiscation

A shocking incident has come to light from Mungle Anna Nagar in Dhankawadi, where a minor son has assaulted his mother and attempted to kill her after she abruptly took away his phone. In this regard, Sahakar Nagar police have registered a complaint against the son of a 39-year-old woman.

This harrowing incident took place on Monday around 10.30 p.m. in the plaintiff’s house. As per the information, the plaintiff’s son is mentally disturbed, and he studies in class 9 at the nearby school. The plaintiff’s husband is a driver and therefore remains out of the house for his work purposes. The plaintiff and her son live in their house in the Dhankawadi area.

On Monday night, the plaintiff’s son was watching a serial on his mobile phone in the night. At that time, the plaintiff took away his phone and closed it after the serial was over. However, it did not get along with her son, and he smashed the wooden frame of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on the mother’s head. Further, he started assaulting his mother by abusing her. The plaintiff mentioned that her son also attempted to kill her with a scissor.

In the fit of anger, the plaintiff’s son also broke windows of the house. The plaintiff narrowly escaped from this assault. In the subsequent police complaint against her son, the plaintiff mentioned that her son is mentally disturbed and he often gets violent. Shockingly, he had earlier also assaulted her.

While informing about the incident, the senior police inspector, Chhagan Kapse, informed that due to the fatal attempt of the son, his mother lodged a complaint against him at Sahakar Nagar Police Station, and Police Constable Jadhav is conducting further investigation into the case.
