Pune: Traffic diversions in Jejuri-Saswad-Supa areas on December 30 on account of Somavati Yatra

Pune: The Somavati Yatra of Shri Khandoba Dev will be held at temple town Jejuri in Purandar taluka on Monday (December 30). In-charge District Collector and ZP CEO Santosh Patil issued directives of traffic diversions to avoid congestion and to maintain law and order.

Heavy vehicles will have no entry to Jejuri from 5 am to 12 midnight on December 30. They will be diverted from alternative routes.

Traffic diversion within Jejuri Police Station and Pune Rural limits: Traffic from Satara, Phaltan, Lonand and Baramti headed towards Jejuri-Saswad will be diverted from Nira-Morgaon-Supa to Kedgaon-Choufula via Solapur Highway to Pune.

Traffic from Pune to Baramati will be diverted from Belsar-Kothale-Nazre-Supa-Morgaon Road via Baramati or Phaltan.

Traffic diversion within the Supa Police Station and Pune Rural limits: Traffic from Baramati and Nira towards Jejuri to Pune will be diverted from Morgaon-Supa-Kedgaon-Choufula via Solapur Highway to Pune.

Traffic diversion within Saswad Police Station and Pune Rural limits: Traffic from Pune towards Jejuri to Phaltan-Satara will be diverted from Saswad-Narayanpur-Kapurhol to Satara-Phaltan or Saswad-Veer Phata-Parinche-Veer-Wathar via Lonand to Phaltan-Satara.

Traffic restrictions will be relaxed for light vehicles visiting Jejuri for the Yatra on December 30. An appeal has been made to citizens to note the traffic diversions and cooperate.
