Pune: Tree plantation and blood donation can save humanity: Shobhatai R Dhariwal

Pune: A blood donation Sohala (celebration) is held annually on March 1 to mark the birth anniversary of Rasiklal M Dhariwal. Earlier, the RMD Foundation set a record of collecting 24,000 blood bags at various blood donation centres in the city. The tradition is being religiously followed.
The RMD Foundation has been continuously conducting tree plantations and conservation for the past 30 years. On Shri Rasiklal Dhariwal Saheb’s 75th birthday, ‘One Lakh Tree Plantations’ were done. Trees are planted across India under the Foundation’s ‘Pulakchhaya Yojana’.
Hundreds of trees are planted and grown under the Foundation’s ‘Ek Zaad Aichya Navane’ plan. As per the need of the time, the Foundation is conducting the ‘Tree Transplantation Scheme’. Hundreds of trees are being saved and transplanted under Pune’s Ring Road project.
Shobhatai Rasiklal Dhariwal expressed her sentiments by emphasising on tree plantation and blood donation to save humanity.
She appealed to Puneites to donate blood on Saturday, March 1, 2025 on Shri Rasiklak Saheb’s birth anniversary at RMD Bungalow number 64, Lane Number 3, Koregaon Park, Pune. For details, contact: 7353354444.
