Pune: Two more held in Kalyani Nagar hit-and-run case
Pune: The Crime Branch of the Pune Police has arrested two more persons, who helped the child in conflict with law’s (CCL) father Vishal Agarwal in changing blood samples.
The arrested duo was in contact with accused Dr Ajay Taware. They have been identified as Aditya Avinash Sood (52) and Ashish Satish Mittal (36).
The accident took place at midnight on May 19. Two IT engineers riding on a two-wheeler were killed after a speedy Porsche car driven by the drunk CCL hit their vehicle.
Vishal Agarwal contacted Dr Taware after the accident. He paid Rs 4 lakh bribe to Dr Taware through Ashfak Makandar and Amar Gaikwad. Sood and Mittal were acquainted with Dr Taware. Agarwal contacted Taware through them.
The Crime Branch arrested Sood and Mittal late on Monday night. They would be produced before the court on Tuesday afternoon.
The arrests were made under the guidance of Commissioner of Police (CP) Amitesh Kumar and Joint CP Ranjan Kumar Sharma by Addl CP Shailesh Balkawade, DCP Nikhil Pingle, ACP Ganesh Ingale and team.
