Pune: Two Nigerians held for drugs sale in Undri, narcotics worth Rs 7 lakh seized

Pune: Two Nigerians were arrested for selling cocaine, MD in Undri. Drugs amounting to Rs 7 lakhs were seized from them.

The accused have been identified as Michael Indiser John (35) and Phillip William Idelli (49), both residents of Pisoli. Policeman Yogesh Mandhre attached with the Anti-Narcotics Squad lodged a complaint at the Kondhwa Police Station.

According to the police, a team of the Anti-Narcotics Squad comprising PI Sudarshan Gaikwad, API Nitinkumar Naik, PSI Shivaji Ghule and their colleagues were patrolling under a special drive on August 22 night.

They saw two foreign nationals on Undri Road waiting at a place on their two-wheeler. The police watched them from a hide. They were restive. As the suspicion grew, they were detained and interrogated. When frisked, 15-mg MD worth Rs 3 lakh was found with Phillip while Michael was possessing 16-gm cocaine worth Rs 3.20 lakh. The police seized the narcotics, mobiles and their motorcycle, totally worth Rs 7 lakh.
