Pune: Unit 3 of Crime Branch Arrested Youngman and Middleman for Carrying Pistol to Take Revenge of Maternal Uncle’s Death Threats

In a significant action, the Crime Branch Unit 3 team has apprehended the young man for carrying a pistol with him. Notably, the police also arrested the middleman, who helped the accused to get the pistol from the supplier.

The name of this young man is Akash Baliram Bidkar (age 24, a resident of Savitribai Phule Vasahat, near Navshya Maruti, Dattawadi). The police have seized goods worth Rs 40,500, including a country-made pistol and one cartridge from him. Further, the middleman has been identified as Subhash Balu Margale (age 24, a resident of Margale House, Jadhav Nagar, Vadgaon Budruk).

While patrolling in the area, Police Amaldar Dnyaneshwar Chitte of Crime Branch Unit 3 received news that a young man was holding a pistol and was standing in front of the bus stop on DP Road in the Erandwane area. Accordingly, a police team went there and arrested Akash Bidkar. In a subsequent frisking, police seized a country-made pistol and cartridges from him.

Police informed that Akash Bidkar had a land dispute with his maternal uncle. Earlier, his maternal uncle threatened to kill Akash Bidkar. Therefore, to take revenge for the death threat, Bidkar bought a pistol from a person in Hadapsar through the intermediary of Subhash Margale. The police have arrested both of the accused and are searching for the person who sold the pistol to Bidkar.

This action has been taken by the team of Senior Police Inspector Rangrao Pawar, Assistant Police Inspector Dnyaneshwar Dhavale, Police Amaldar Sharad Vakse, Sanjeev Kalambe, Sujit Pawar, Dnyaneshwar Chitte, Ganesh Shinde, and Sonam Nevse under the guidance of Additional Police Commissioner Shailesh Balkawade, Deputy Commissioner of Police Nikhil Pingale, and Assistant Police Commissioner Ganesh Ingle.
