Pune: Vandalism Spree Continues in Pimpri-Chinchwad; Three Accused Damage Multiple Cars in Latest Incident

Pune: Vandalism activities are continuously increasing in the city. In a recent incident, a syndicate of three people looted a businessman by assaulting him with a machete behind the Ashok theatre in Pimpri. They also created terror in the city by damaging parked vehicles in the area. In this regard, Pimpri police lodged a complaint against three people and arrested two.
This incident took place on Tuesday morning at around 5.45 a.m. behind Ashok Theatre.
In this incident, Mallikarjun Chandrashekhariyaa Sali was injured. Sali, age 36, a resident of Rajshree Towers, Golande Estate, Chinchwad, has filed a complaint at Pimpri Police Station. Accordingly, Prateek Dhandar and Mubarak Sheikh (both residents of Pimpri) have been arrested. Whereas Aman Sheikh, a resident of Pimpri, has been charged under Sections 309(4)(6), 115(2), 352, 351, 324(4)(5), 3(5) of the Indian Code of Criminal Procedure, Criminal Law Amendment Act, Arms Act, and the Maharashtra Police Act.
According to the police information, the complainant stood in front of the Dhanraj traders in the morning after completing his gym exercise. At that time, a few people came there on bikes, and they threatened the plaintiff with a machete. The accused injured the plaintiff by beating him up with the backside of the machete.
The police informed that the accused forcibly took 4,500 rupees from the pocket of the plaintiff. After that, they damaged the nearby parked vehicles by striking them with machetes and iron rods. The accused fled from the scene after breaking the windows of the cars. After the plaintiff, Sali, complained about it, Pimpri police promptly arrested two accused.
