Pune: Victim in Swargate bus stand rape case narrates her ordeal

Pune: Various theories were being floated about the sequence of events leading to the Swargate bus stand rape. The victim later called up Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Vasant More. The leader gave details of their conversation.

Addressing a press meet, More said, “I received a call from the victim and her friend the day after the incident. It was Maha Shivratri. She spoke to me on the phone and broke down.

“A day before her call, social activist and Adv Asim Sarode called me up. He offered help in the case. She told me that the bus driver and conductor were standing near the bus when the incident took place. She narrated the incident to both. She gave details about Gade’s heinous act. Both ran to catch him but he ran away.”

Allegation of money taken

More said, “I spoke to the victim for 20 minutes. She was sobbing continuously. We met her yesterday also. She is educated. It was alleged that she took Rs 7,500. Now, facts have been revealed.”
