Pune: Vijay Raundal of Tirth Spaces, one more booked for demolishing compound wall and encroaching on property in Baner

Pune: The owner of Tirth Spaces and another person have been booked for razing a compound wall around a property on Baner-Mahalunge Road and forcefully, illegally encroaching upon it.

The accused have been identified as Vijay Raundal, the owner of Tirth Spaces and a resident of Baner, and Prashant Jadhav (48), the site supervisor and a resident of Dhayari.

Vijaya Vitthal Kondhre (65), a resident of Karve Nagar, lodged a case at the Chatuhshrungi Police Station. According to the police, the husband of the complainant, Vitthal Kondhre, bought the 12-guntha land through a sale deed on July 15, 1991. He died in 2018. They have built shops and given them on lease. There was a tin shed at the place. A cement and steel business was conducted there. After the business was shut, the shed was removed and the space was lying vacant.

In an auction conducted by Union Bank, Vijay Roundal bought an adjacent plot to this property. On August 20, the compound wall within the complainant’s property was being razed. The complainant and her grandson visited the property. They showed the documents of their property to site supervisor Prashant Jadhav. He stopped the work and requested to hold a meeting in two days.

On August 22, the tin shed angles were broken on the complainant’s property. The compound wall was demolished. When questioned, Prashant Jadhav told the complainant that Vijay Raundal told him to start construction at the place. He threatened her. Raundal spoke on the phone and told Jadhav to drive away the Kondhres if they step into the property.

Even after the complainant’s request, they did not stop the work and encroached on the property. They damaged the compound wall and caused a loss to the complainant. The Chatuhshrungi Police registered a case. PSI Balasaheb Zarekar is investigating further.
