In a significant action, the Viman Nagar Police have raided Lotus365, a banned online gambling site, and arrested four people, including college students. In this action, the police confiscated 12 mobile phones, 2 laptops, and 1 tab from them.

The names of the arrested individuals are Vishal Sridhar Rakh (age 26), Samadhan Uddhav Shirsat (age 20), Saurabh Navnath Rakh (age 21), and Mahesh Pandurang Shirsat. All are residents of D.Y. Patil Road, Vrindavan Building, Lohegaon.

In this regard, Police Constable Dharma Nandakumar Chaudhari lodged a complaint at the Vimantal Police Station. This action was taken at 6 p.m. on Friday at the Vrindavan Building on D.Y. Patil Road, Lohegaon.

A few days ago, the Viman Nagar police received information that online gambling was being conducted without a valid license through the government-banned website Lotus365. Accordingly, the police raided the Vrindavan Building. In a flat on the second floor of that building, the police found gambling paraphernalia through which bookies were operating gambling for their own financial benefit.

Further, police found that bookies were also taking money from customers on laptops using the identity of the account holders based on the bank accounts and SIM cards used for online gambling. Therefore, the police have arrested four people for cheating customers and the government by playing online gambling through banned websites.

When presented before the court, the court has remanded all the accused in police custody till Monday for further investigation. Assistant Police Inspector Shinde is investigating further in this case.
