Pune: Vishrantwadi Police Apprehend Repeat Offender in House Burglary Case; Seize Gold and a Bike Worth Rs 2.61 Lakh

In a significant action, Vishrantwadi Police arrested a recidivist accused in a house burglary case. The police have also confiscated goods, including gold ornaments and a motorcycle worth Rs 2 lakh 61 thousand from him. The arrested individual has been identified as Mahesh Kashinath Chavan (age 19, a resident of Hadapsar).
A few days ago, an incident of house burglary took place in the Vishrantwadi area. During the investigation, police learnt that the accused, Mahesh Chavan, had committed the burglary. Accordingly, police started searching for him. While searching for him, the head of the investigation team, Nitin Rathod, received news that Chavan was standing with his friend in the Ganga Nagar area of Hadapsar.
Promptly, the police team reached the spot and arrested Chavan. During the investigation, Chavan confessed that he committed house burglary in Vishrantwadi and also stole a vehicle from Kondhwa. Accordingly, police seized stolen goods, including gold jewellery worth Rs 2 lakh 61 thousand and a motorcycle from him.
This action has been taken by the team of Police Sub-Inspector Nitin Rathod, Police Ammaldar Baban Wanave, Yashwant Kirve, Krushna Machare, Amjad Sheikh, Vaman Sawant, Sanjay Bavare, Sampat Bhosale, Sandip Devkate, Akshay Chapte, and Kishor Bhusare under the guidance of Additional Police Commissioner Manoj Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police Himmat Jadhav, Assistant Police Commissioner Anuja Deshmane, Senior Police Inspector of Vishrantwadi Police Station Kanchan Jadhav, and Crime Inspector Mangesh Hande.
