Pune: Vishrantwadi Police Capture Latur Thief Linked to Pune Crimes, Recover Rs 3.85 Lakh in Stolen Items

In a significant action, the Vishrantwadi Police have arrested the thief who had come straight a way from Latur to carry theft in Pune. The police have revealed four crimes and seized goods worth Rs 3 lakh 85 thousand 950 from him.

The arrested individual has been identified as Shekhar Sambhaji Jadhav (age 25, a resident of Mogha, Taluka Udgir, District Latur). The police arrested him from his house in Mogha village of Latur.

The investigation team of Vishrantwadi police station was investigating the cases of burglary and theft in the area. At that time, police Ammaldar Sanjay Badare, Amjad Sheikh, Vaman Sawant, and Kishor Bhusare received a tip-off from their informant that the accused in the Vishrantwadi burglary case is currently in his Mogha village.

Accordingly, the police team went to Mogha village in Latur district and caught Shekhar Jadhav. After questioning him, he confessed to committing theft with the help of a minor accomplice. Subsequently, police seized goods worth Rs 1 lakh 43 thousand 450, including a stolen mobile power bank and car charger from him.

On further interrogation, the accused confessed to stealing the stolen cash and two motorcycles from Chandan Nagar and Bhosari in the case registered at Hadapsar Police Station. Total goods worth Rs 3 lakh 85 thousand 950 were seized from him by the police. The police have revealed four crimes in Mundhwa, Chandan Nagar, Bhosari, and Hadapsar police stations from him.

This action was taken by the team of Police Sub-Inspector Nitin Rathod, Police Ammaldar Baban Vanve, Yashwant Kirve, Krishna Machre, Amjad Sheikh, Vaman Sawant, Sanjay Badare, Sampat Bhosale, Sandeep Devkate, Akshay Chapte, and Kishor Bhusare under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police Manoj Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police Himmat Jadhav, Assistant Commissioner of Police Anuja Deshmane, Senior Police Inspector Kanchan Jadhav, and Crime Inspector Shankar Salunkhe.
