Pune: Woman lodges police complaint against BJP MLA Siddharth Shirole

Complainant alleges that her photo on Mukhyamantri Ladki Bahin Yojana banner is used without her consent, DCP (Crime) to investigate the matter
Pune: A photo of a missing person was used in the press release issued about the Jyeshtha Nagrik Tirth Yatra Yojana (Senior Citizens Pilgrimage Scheme). Now, a woman has complained to the police against BJP MLA Siddharth Shirole that her photo has been used on a banner about the Mukhyamantri Ladki Bahin Yojana (Chief Minister Dear Sister Scheme).
The woman met Joint Commissioner of Police Ranjankumar Sharma and lodged the complaint. Sharma has ordered an investigation into the matter.
MLA Shirole has raised many such banners in his Shivajinagar Assembly Constituency. Shirole has printed photos of the Chief Minister, the Deputy Chief Ministers and others, along with his own photo. The banner is titled ‘Natyacha Maan, Mai-Bhaginicha Sanman’ (Respecting the relationship, honouring the sister), which has photographs of two women.
The complainant has claimed that her photo has been printed without her consent. Many such banners have cropped up in the Shivajinagar area. She claimed that the photo has caused misunderstanding and dispute in her family. Shirole has done an improper, bogus act, said the woman in her written complaint to Joint CP Sharma, who has ordered the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP-Crime) to investigate the matter.
